Im a California resident..
Last pay on debt-5-98
Owned by collection agency.
I disputed with Cra's. Came back verified after many attempts. Spoke to collector regarding their re-aging of account. They blamed cra's. Anyway, if I pay principle they stated in letter, "they will accept $$$.$$ to pay off your department store card. Upon receipt they will forward me a settled in full statement and notify all three credit agencies to remove any and all deragatory information pertaining to this account."

what do you think? I dont want this thing haunting me. I need to pay it off to get score raised. Please give all advice.. thanks. also, why did they say "to pay of department store card if they own it? wouldn't it be to pay off collector?
