In their letter that I received they stated, "they will accept $$$.$$ to pay of my department store card. Upon receipt of funds, they will forward me a settled in full statement and notify all three credit-reporting agencies to remove any and all derogatory info pertaining to the above referenced account." There not going to report it according to there letter as settled. it will be deleted..

your comment"I would demand that he pays you $1000. Tell him you will forgo the 1k if he deletes, closes the account, and promises not to resell it." What does this mean? How can I sue them?
