I have an account that has been reported to the Credit Bureaus since Nov 1999. They reported it as a charge off at that time, and every month since then they report it again as a charge off. What gives, I thought once that reported it as a charge off, and a loss that they could not keep in effect reaging the bill by reporting it again. I realize that in a few months that the SOL on this account will roll off. I have attempted to settle with this company on several occasions because I really believe I owe some of what they say I owe, but they refuse to settle and want the entire amount. What should I do or is there anything I can do.
Thanks for your help
