Yes your SOL is in the State you are now in, unless they decide to file suit against you in Fl., have the Judgment "perfected" and filed against you in N.C., however if it is a default judgment filed in Fl, Fl. laws do not allow "perfecting" of default judgments for re-filing and enforcement in another State.

As to validation, I have NO idea why you would DREAM of "validating" a debt that is within SOL
all you are doing is inviting them to file suit against you in NC.
