I have an old, past due acct w/Home Depot and I know the card was issued through MBNA. I couldn't pay for awhile and then joined a credit counseling agency and things went well. Then my financial situation changed dramatically and things went downhill. I received a letter from W & A at the beginning of this month requesting payment o $596 with one file No re: Creditor-GE Capitol. I sent a letter saying I could ONLY squeeze out $25/mo. I got no reply. Today I received a new letter from W & A requesting payment of $620 with a completely different file No and re: Sherman Acquisition, LP Assignee of GE/The Home Depot. These people do NOT have my phone #, or know where I work or my work phone #. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I want to pay it off, but I can't pay in full and need to make payment arrangements. But from what I'm reading on this message boards, W & A won't work with me. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? I don't think I want to contact W & A by phone judging from what I've seen on here.
