Hi, everybody,

I just thought I would alert you to a new email spam scam going around.

It claims to be from the PayPal security department, and comes complete with the official logo, and some "You are subscribed" text at the bottom.

It claims that they are doing some kind system-wide survey looking for inactive accounts, and suggests that failing to respond might get your account suspended. It contains a form to fill out with all of your details - name, address, credit card number, and even ATM PIN. It instructs you to fill out the form, and click a "Submit" button to allegedly log on to your PayPal account.

However, examining the HTML source code for the email shows that the "Submit" button actually sends the form with your inputted info to a site on a free Web space provider!

So be careful, and never submit any PayPal-related info anywhere else but on their official Web site.
