Repo question for Whychat

I was referred to you by another board. I am being chased by Calvary Investments for a repo. We bought the car in 1994, and it was taken in 1997-it was awarded to my ex in our divorce in 1997, and he made a payment on it in 1998. I have always left forwarding addresses, and have never received any information regarding this car. On Tuesday of last week I received a call from Calvary regarding a "business matter". When I called them back they told me that I owed $7598 for a car that was only worth $9000 in 1994. They told me that my ex husband had excellent credit and that he told them he could not pay for the car and gave them my phone number. I never even knew the car was repossessed! He told me he traded it in, and it has never shown up on my credit. I live in Arizona. Any suggestions? I don't have $7500, I have a baby due in two weeks. Thanks
