LEAVE THEM ALONE ! These accounts are, as you say, past the TX SOL. There is NO point in validation now, they can't and won't validate and you'll only stir them up to start harrassing you again anyway.

On WhyChat's site is a letter you can use to dispute with the CRA's for accounts that have expired SOL's. It might be worth it to try it, you may get lucky.
