Thank you for the reply LadynRed...please bear with me, I just started trying to fix the mess I've made & I'm at the reading the credit boards -trying to figure out my Credit Report stage...so if I sound like I don't know what I'm doing, well I don't (yet!). Anyway...I've never used anyone as a reference for any credit app, made my mess all by myself.....I've been reading the boards all afternoon & now I'm thinking he might have given his name as my roomate when they were trying to call & collect years ago(we were roomates for several years after college)...I read somewhere that CAs mark everything down when they call...his number is currently listed & mine is not...just a guess. As I said, I haven't received anything in the mail from this CA so I'm not exactly sure but it has to be from the mid 90's (when I screwed my credit up). It has to be for something before 1998. If I'm looking at my credit report correctly I believe it's for a card I stopped paying in mid to late 1997...not sure of the exact date...the 3 in 1 report I'm going off of doesn't list an exact date for the card I think it is...& I have always lived in Massachusetts. Thanks again for the reply!
