If this IS from a debt from 1997, then the SOL (6 years) is either expired or is about to expire.. your trump card !! You're going to have to find out what this is all about to be sure and determine the right date of last payment to be sure of the SOL running out. You're going to have to pull at least your Experian report to get some details. That's the problem with the 3-in-1 reports.. they lack crucial details. Once you find out for sure, if the SOL has expired, you can just send the CA WhyChat's expired SOL letter and tell them to go pee up a tree !!
