Wife dismissed from banks suit--without Prejudice

Banks attorney stated that he would dismiss ex-wife from suit with Prejudice (ex-husband forged wifes signature on loan) but when dismissal arrived it was without Prejudice. Did bank just try to get ex-wife out of the way because she knew too much about banks actions on the loan and that the ex-husbands mother was an employee of the bank aat the time the loan was applied for bu ex-husband??? Help
