MBNA paid my monthly payment for me?

This is really strange.
I have two accounts with MBNA that I have not paid on since January 2003. One is for approx $5000 and the other is appr. $10,5000. Yesterday I received two letters saying: "Thank you for your recent payment of $166. Your next payment is due on May 25, 2003. blah blah blah, if you have any question you can contact such and such at 800 number." I know I haven't paid them at all as I don't have the money to. So did they pay my month for me? Does this mean DOLA is now reset and it won't be charged off for another six months. I'm really confused.
