Our second installment on our property taxes were being paid by a financial company in error. They had the wrong parcel # on their payment check... This went on for 3 years. We tried to contact them to let them know of the error but was told that they had no record of the payment. We now are getting phone calls from the company because they have found their error. We have no problem paying them back but wonder if there is a statue of limitations that may be involved.. And are we legally responsbile for paying this back since it was their error?
