whychat i dont understand this could you PLEASE help ?

ive been reading this site since like february and its GREAT ! ok heres my dealings ive never been late with any account ever and im current with all my credit cards and all bills period , i owe about $ 9000. to 5 different cards with 2 of them being a bankone visa and mastercard . ok well yesterday and today in my billing statements from BOTH i got a change in agreement saying IM NO LONGER IN THE PREFERRED catagory AND my interest is skyrocketing up from 2.9 % to 16.9 % in july and it also says now my payments may be subject to collect my payments mailed to them by means of electronically from my bank , im like huh ? i know what the interest rate means and thats insulting enough BUT WHAT DOES electronic from my bank mean and how will that effect me if at all ?!? i mean i dont get all this i make all my payments on time and this is what i get so i dont understand it really im just so upset over this ! could and would someone please explain what the electronic stuff means ? thankyou all in advance .
