Just getting a judgment doens't really do much, they still have to have some way to collect it. That's where the enforcement comes in. In order to find out what they can TAKE, they have to find out what you HAVE.. hence the request for documents. These are often called interrogatories, or debtor's examinations. Since you are REQUIRED to respond to these, they WILL find out what you have and THEN they decide which kind of execution to go for.. property seizure, bank levies or wage garnishment.. or any combination thereof.
