No activity from CAs, should I contact OC about chgoff's??

How do I tackle OCs who have reported chargeoffs since 98? I should also mention that I'm in AL and that there has been no activity from any CAs. Do I make an attempt to payoff or deny to CRAs even though I have denied to CRAs but there are a couple who refuse to budge as the CRA reports "verified." What are the steps I should take first? Thanx in advance for any HELP you can provide!
