We had discussed this before on other threads but the simple fact is nobody quite knows about hard inquiries on time barred debts. CAs can pull hards but if the debt can no longer be put on your credit report the question remains how can they poison it with a CA hard inquiry. The answer is- we just do not know. Someone needs to take this to federal court and find the answer out. Here is your best bet. Camco never has any paperwork to back up the claim. If you never admitted to the debt they cannot prove it was yours therefore they could not have pp to pull your report. Camco gets sued ALOT now. In fact, a current employee from another board has stated he has never seen a company get sued to much as camco. Also, I talked to an attorney a couple of weeks ago who stated camco settles all claims before court as they know they are screwed. If you are up to it go to naca.net and find an attorney or since small claims are fairly easy and very cheap go file a claim against them for non pp. Just make sure you never admit to this debt. Actually, it may not matter anyway because the judge may just say it is time barred and they should not have pulled. Camco can only countersue if you file a frivolous claim and this hardly qualifies. Go for it. I would.
