Dear Shana;

To answer your question re what kind of people are these at NCC, you presume much to define these subhumanoid felonious mutants as humans, but for purpose of prosecution the misapplication of the term will have to stand.
An old friend has for years admonished against doing any business with credit card companies and banks. Friend's premise is that at least twenty years of fat drug money has completely warped whatever integrity might have existed in the banking system.
A worthwhile book to read is the Underground Empire by James Mills, written in 1984 it tells of the drug trade during the pre-coke marijuana era. The corruption from that small change as compared with latter proceeds was astounding, you can extrapolate from there.
In fact, Mr. Barry Sussman of the late and unlamented NCC is a felon, apparently served time in federal prison. Now this is not meant as an insult. After all, with today's predatory 'justice' system virtually everyone is guilty of something, sign of the times. As a great Cuban freedom fighter put it, "Real punishments for imaginary crimes" mark a society enroute to the quagmire of socialist totalitarianism.
But Mr. Sussman earned his prison time during an era in which truly one had to work at getting into the pokey, and particularly so at the federal level. Apparently capable of learning nothing, Sussman simply set up an extortion racket and did rather well by it. After all, ten million dollars over an eight year period is better than a mil per year.
Even some of my associates could live it up on that. Why old friend Hannibal could pick up some new crock pots and cutlery, perhaps even a cookbook or two.
That's the type of scum you are dealing with. And the only difference between say Mr. Sussman and his racketeering enterprise and other 'respectable' - hee hee - collections firms is that the latter assortment of thugs has yet to be brought down. That's where we come in.....

Best as ever,
