I said it was NOT the same as writing a "bad check" . I DID NOT say that you would not or could not be prosocuted for fraud. Your original post referred to paying off one credi card with a BT check from another credit card. You DID NOT say in your original post that you had then used the "paid up"account to take out cash or to charge it back up to the full amount. If you had merely "paid off" 1 account, and had the charge reversed so that it was no longer "paid up" when the BT check was not honored, there would have been no penalty or fraud, however, if, as it seems, you withdrew the $$ and used it, that is bank fraud, and you DO need a lawyer.
