Your assets are found by several pay sites that CA's use that are catered to CA'S. They list all personal property. Such as Property Deeds, Parcel #, Assessed Value. They list all your cars owned. Tag & Tax title, VIN #, License #, Tag #. They also list everyone at an address. Assets is the easiest thing in the world to find. It's called skip tracing. It's non-published #'s that are so hard to find. They always come up in these databases after 3 months though and all of these databases are updated daily.You name it it's in these data bases. Noone has to grill you for any financial information. If you are pulled into court it is only because they have all your assets already and are going to sue. A CA will not waste time and money taking someone in front a judge to grill them for financial info to see if they can sue. They already have it on you. Within 3 seconds of running your name, address, or ss#.
