Original Creditor liable under FDCPA

I know that the FDCPA applies to third party collectors, and generally does not apply to original creditors. I have heard that there have been lawsuits where the creditor has been found liable for it's CA's violation of FDCPA because the creditor was aware of those violations. Can anyone verify this information by directing me to specific cases?
