I am beginning life after BK today, my CH7 was discharged on 5/21....I know how you feel and how many questions that you may have as I did. I have read on this board and others that a mortgage is possible in about two years after discharge of the BK and I believe that the economy will dictate the interest rate.
As far as to reaffirm the credit card, be careful...if you do and they decide to cancel your charge priviledges you will be stuck with the bill. This is the advice my attorney gave to me. The things that I did reaffirm the creditor prepared the agreement and mailed it to my attorney.
From all the post here and other boards there is life after BK and a chance to begin anew with credit.
