State- Louisiana,repo-5 years ago in February,This showed up yesterday on our credit report so I am assuming 5/21/03 for the date of activity, I do not know the collection agency I am sorry I am waiting for our credit reports to come in the mail from all three of the credit agencies. I received this information when I was denied credit yesterday. I just thought that this was illegal to do but maybe not. My husband and I sent off for our credit reports yesterday after learning this because we want to put a stop to it as soon as possible. I am assuming that this account was sold off and whoever bought it decided to put it back on our credit report showing current. Any ideas on what we can do in the meantime and after we receive our credit reports? Thank you so much for responding.
