Collection calls

I had a fairly recent brush with a telemarketer,That has resulted in a rediculous series of calls from "their" collection staff.It concerns magazine service.They were supposed to send some information in the mail about exact monies owed and time in which to cancel. They asked for a credit card # to validate my age . I balked but gave it to them with the statement that I was to pay by check and no charge was to appear on the card.Well it did 700 + dollars that I was unaware of.When I got the creditcard bill I disputed it. The Credit card company made them put back the money. It upset the magazine company.To this day I have NOT received any letter from them stating what magazines I was to receive,how long I could wait before canceling or the diamond watch I was promised.I also do not have any magazines in my possession that came from them.I can't be intimidated into paying.I know my rights.
