FIDO stands for Financial institution domestic operations. This is a system I have developed to score banks that clog-up your mailbox with offers of credit cards with high interest. These state that you were pre-screened by investigating your credit report and you satisfied their criteria. Now, if you accept, they will pull another credit report to see if you actually do qualify,so they can modify the already small print to take you on a ride down the minimum payment, lifetime comittment highway.I usually give an un-opened letter 100 points. As I read, I take off points for deception, fine print,ultra-fine print, constantly checking credit files,,unreasonable membership fees, insulting my intelligence and outright lies. It's a good thing my shredder is always hungry.
I had my credit report sent from Experian and the inquiries looked like a small town phonebook. I have since then put a stop to that as the banks see fit to hold inquiries against you, even if you did not initiate them.
