In some States, particularly Ca.,if a debtor seems "creditwise", i.e. disputing etc. requesting validation etc., the CA's will no longer report tradelines PAST legal SOL.

However, it is STILL legal for the OC to report the amount that was charged off and sold to the CA, as long as the CA is not ALSO reporting the balance due as a collection.

Have you disputed to the CRA's as "no balance due" on this account, WITHOUT saying it is yours and that you ever made a payment on it?

The reason you ALWAYS put the disclaimer into all your disputes and requests for valdation to OC and CA's of "this is not a refusal to pay but----" and the reason you NEVER dispute the accuracy of any information on your report to CRA's by saying something like, "this is not the correct balance/date etc." but rather say, "I have no such account with this balance/date" is the difference between legally admitting it IS your account and NOT admitting it.

Try a redispute to the CRA's.
