Unless there are medical reasons, there is nothing you can do to help.

IF the family feels there ARE medical issue, you can petition the Court for legal guardianship.

Her situation will get worse,until she loses everything, she cannot be put in jail for these debts, however, she CAN be subject to criminal prosocution IF she fraudulently writes checks she KNOWS she can't cover, or on a closed account.
