Does First Select still exhist?First Select was collecting an old account of mine from California and if I was ever late on a payment, they turned it over to Frank J. Ball a collection attorney. I explained to them that I had terrible memory problems due to a bad car accident and a severe brain injury and that I absolutely had to have a statement every month to remind me to get the payment in. They said that First Select didn't send out statements and that I should write it on my calender every month.Well three years have gone by and I have been making a $78.00 payment every 10th of every month just out of habit and suddenly I realized that this <$2,000.00 debt must be paid off by now. I checked into it and it was paid off long ago but I never received any kind of statement and they have been taking my money way past the time I paid the debt off. Now that I want my money back, it seems First Select is and has been crooked. What are my legal options?
