I don't know if we ever were at that point. We were with CCCS starting in June of 2002. I would need to look at some statements to see if they stopped the extra charges after we entered the program (technically they don't have to stop until you are on time for 3 mos). We got out of the CCCS program in February because we were (and still are) behind on three secure debts (house, two car loans). We asked to have our CCCS payment readjusted and the rep told me to file Ch 7. We didn't want to do that, so we have been trying to refi and have run out of luck, I think.

Just got another statement from a collections company and Fleet has given up on us too. I feel like we are probably going to have to file at this point b/c we don't have money laying around for lump sum payments to settle these debts and none of these collectors will take what we can afford, and we cannot afford to have our wages garnished.
