Who's the collection agency ? Their calls are typical threats to scare you. I've heard 'em all before and they were all bullhockey. One guy left a message (I NEVER talk to them) ' you'd better get an attorney tomorrow and have him call me' .. yeah.. right. They disappeared and another CA took over the diatribe. Guess what.. no lawsuits filed yet !! Stop talking to these morons on the phone !! That's what they want, its their best weapon against you. Start by pulling your 3 credit reports and look up this debt for the date of last activity, charge-off date, and/or come-off date. What state are you in ? If there's any chance you're beyond your state's SOL, then we go from there, but STOP asking these collection dweebs for information, they won't give it to you !
