I am sure whychat will comment but I would not admit you did not give the written notice. After all, what proof do they have. they will try and say 'well what proof do you have that you did' but I would turn around and argue you just handed it in and sending it certified would have been ridiculous. The SOL is up regardless. Make sure you countersue them for violations of the fdcpa. That is very important.
