The usual collector largely INCORRECT drivel !!

If the debt is no longer on your credit report it can NOT harm you if you applied for a mortgage or car loan !!

If the scum collector DOES put it on your credit report, you can SUE them for it, it is against the FCRA.

While its true that unpaid debts never really go away and they can TRY to collect until hell freezes over, once the statute of limitations expires they have no LEGAL means of enforcing collection.. you do NOT have pay it .. and I wouldn't.

Lastly, no one here, in their right mind, would EVER recommend that you settle or pay a penny on a time-barred debt. That WILL wreck your credit for another 7 years !!
