AsI said, Pa. has almost NO exemptions.If the car is in your name,they can seize it and sell it at auction. They cannot touch your husband's wages or anything he owns by himself. They can put a lien on your home,and if you have a LOT of equity, they can even force a sale on that and take their $$ out of your 1/2 of the equity.If you have a mortgage, and not too much equity, that is doubtful, but it would still prevent any refinancing or resale without paying it off.The only good news is that judgment liens are only good for 5 years in Pa. so you may be able to tough it out.
