First of all blackmailed they can not tell your commanding officers anything. That is 3rd party disclosure. When I used to collect on government credit cards we couldn't even tell anyone anything then. Federal Charges? That's bull. Do what Scott said. Tape them. I see Scott's point about not even talking to them but in this case it is worth it because this is outrageous. Also harassment phone threatening? Bull. They are trying to scare you. If you raised your voice or had a mean tone or yelled so what? They can not and will not press charges. Even if you cursed they can't and won’t. You know how many times a day I get cussed out by people who owe a bill? Please! Call her back and get it on tape, then call back ask for a supervisor and play the tape, tell them you have an attorney. I would really get an attorney to. These collection tactics are just unbelievable.
