If there is a year old chargeoff, can the O.C. now make a hard inquiry on all three bureaus every day for four days in a row? I have read the Fair Credit Reporting Act, but the FCRA only seems to deal with a permissible purpose. But if the c.c. company does have a permissible purpose, does that mean they can make as many hard inquiries as they want.

The company of course claims they can make inquiries as often and whenever they want. Does anyone have any case law to indicate otherwise?

If a company is making just a collection hard inquiry can they only make one inquiry a week on all three bureaus or just one a month on all three? Was the second inquiry on the bureaus on the second day the Fair Credit Reporting Act violation.

So, if anyone has any caselaw to answer this question, thanks in advice.

Also, GREAT SITE.
