In regards to May 30th post. for Portfolio Recovery I am in NY. The debt is about 3 years old. I sent the validation letters certified. I mailed off one and received a letter back stating that they were awaiting validation from oc. then i received the letter in question. I waited 30 days and sent the second validation letter. Still nothing. I also had to send a certified cease and desist letter because they were calling my job. I will take your advice thank you.
Also I had an outstanding cell phone bill which I sent a certified validation letter to the CA who sent me a letter stating that they submitted the debt back to the OC. What steps can I take now?
