I would bet my life it is the 1986 debt. Most of their debts are from the 80's. They cannot add it to your credit report. IF they do it is called reaging the debt and it is highly illegal. Email me at picantel4343@hotmail.com . I think since they said nothing about the debt you should send a validation letter out. I will send you a letter which you should fax or mail certified. The good news about this company and the few others who collect ancient debts is they are so arrogant and stupid they will break a dozen laws along the way and then you simply sue them.
