Last year (Juen 2002) I settled my accoutn with household. In November their lawyers (Upton Cohen and Lsmaowitz) won a judgement against me. I was never served, adn only found out in January when these same laywers sent me a letter saying they won. I have PROOF this is paid (an email and a copy of the Certified Return greencard). It gets better, then went to use my debit card (April 2003), and it was denied, come to find out they froze my bank acocutns and it still is frozen, with over $2000 dollars. I contacted a lawyer to vacate judgement, Household laywers responded saying i "forged" the e-mail, how on earth do you "forge" an email. Anyway this is now in "litiagation" the judge is reviewing this file. I have contacted Household directly, and they keep tellign me they can not discuss with me and I need to contact their laywers, which is pointless since they are the ones telling me I am a liar and a fraud! My state (NY) AG's office was not help. They BBB actually has pulled Household in some states since the $484 million lawsuit in October 2002.
I need some real help here! I have foudn some nasty things out about Household, includign the admittance of shreddign customers files. WHat am I suppossed to do, just sit back and wait? I think I need a ton of ammo to fight and win against them, help?? someone, anyone?
