If you give preferential treatment to one of your creditors within 6 months prior to filing, the other creditors can object to the BK. As to the "business" debt. I strongly urge you to have your BK lawyer look at your applications. They may not be on your credit report NOW, however if they go into complete default, (6 months after last payment), and you signed personally on the applications, they will CERTAINLY show up on your personal credit report, and you will CERTAINLY be sued as a individual. Now, if it is a Corporation, and you signed ONLY as an officer of the Corp. without a personal guarantee, then you are not going to be respponsible personally.
