How old is 'very old' ?? If the date of last activity was more than 7 years ago, reinserting it is a violation of the FCRA. It's also a violation if the CRA didn't notify you BEFORE this previosly deleted item was reinserted, as they are required to do in writing.

If either is the case, you should call the bureaus. If its more than 7 yrs old, then its obsolete. If you were not notified of the reinsertion, per the law, then you need to make a stink that they violated the law by not notifying you of the reinsertion and you want it removed immediately.
