You have to look at the humor in this. You have a CA calling you that has been nailed not once but twice but the FTC. The sheer stupidity of this company demands that you call them. May I suggest you tape the phone calls because georgia is a 1 party consent state and you can tape without their knowledge of permission. Since they have called have they send a letter yet? I doubt it. they have 5 business days from their original call to do so. Play dumb. Do not act like you know they are scum. Ask them to send you something in writing. Ask what the collection is for and the age of the debt. Ask if it is on your credit report or will be placed there. Ask if they will sue you. Act really unsure of yourself. These junk agencies need to be taken out. There is also a scam nationwide credit who promises credit cards if you pay a fee. It is a scam. Let me know what happens.
