Can my wages be garnished?

I live in Ohio and work at home as an independant contractor. I do work for a company in New Jersy and my checks are mailed to me from New Jersey. If a CA were to win a judgment against me, is it possible for my wages to be garnished or does this set up make it petty much impossible for them? The account in question is past the 4 year SOL even though they are trying to use the 15 year SOL for written contracts. Thanks!
