Severe financial problems caused many of my accounts to be charged off in 1991 here in California. One of them was a car loan. I had a judgment entered against me in 1991 for $4000 in favor of a Collection Agency. They placed the account on my Bureaus for 7 years, then they dropped off. They had the judgment renewed for an addional 10 yrs in 2001. A year ago they placed the account back on my Experian report. They are showing that the account opened in 2002 & scheduled to stay until 2009. Can they place back in my Bureau when they have the Judgment renewed? I called Experian and got a feeling that the CA shouldn't do this. They said they would send a letter to the CA. A couple weeks later I got back a letter from the CA that "the debt was validated and is indeed mine" and a letter from Experian that the account stays. I called Experian again and they said to take it up with the CA. I do not want to contact the CA. Can I force Experian to take it off (I have my older Experian reports that show it being reported past 10 years). I don't mind paying the account off in the future when I can save the $10,000 (interest has accumulated)... I just don't want it on my bureau if it isn't supposed to be there. It will make it hard for me to borrow some of the $10,000 if I decide to borrow a portion. Many thanks to anyone who can help me.
