This seems to be the latest parlor trick as practiced by the unimaginative morons who run and work for scumbag collection agencies. Buy some far gone SOL debt for nothing and proceed to harass someone in hope they'll fork over dough from fear of legal process, humiliation, the usual human frailties.
These bums need to be taken to task for their insouciance. Make sure they didn't 're-age' the account on your credit report, another old tried and true trick practiced with the detached confidence of the damned.
Wouldn't it be nice if they did sue? Can they spell "malicious prosecution judgement"? Probably not, but they might be compelled to pay for their smartness.
