Now this here is a real big violation of federal laws, and came up in a posting just a few days ago, perhaps one of the new 'advanced collection techniques' as taught by some unusually inventive dullards in the collections 'industry'.
Yes indeed, this can fetch big trouble for the ca who is doing this, make trouble for them by writing the FTC and as well notify the bankruptcy court, they should be able to run this down rather nicely. Honestly, they just never quit. This is a serious violation, pursue it, you might get a judgement against the perps.

Judgementally,

Keyser Soze

"Standin' by the window, balanced on the brink,
kiss another bottle, sink another drink.
Throw away the feelin', throw away the pill,
If the bottle doesn't get me, the thinkin' will."
"Lights in the Night", c. 1980
Flash and the Pan aka the Easybeats

PS - this song is somewhat of a cult classic artifact, dour melody, depressing lyrics sung expressionlessly, music to slash one's wrists by.
Which is exactly what scumbag CA's try to bully people into doing, if they think it will enable them to grind yet another ill-gotten farthing.
Use all legal means at your disposal to dispose of these chronic nuisances. Good health to you.
