NEED HELP WITH CHEXSYSTEMS REPORT

I just got my chexsystems report and the bank that reported me did not put that it was "paid". It is showing insufficient funds (nsf) activity. Is it not correct that they have to atleast report the debt as paid? I need to know what steps to take next if this is correct. Thanks in advance!
