I'm being sued by a collection agency "Grant & Weber" for unpaid/disputed university tuition. Amount is $12K. I made a verbal deal with a collector 4 months ago to pay $200 per month. I've been sending in my payments as promised this entire time but come to find out they have been returning my checks!! I called the original collector who's now playing dumb, saying they don't accept partial payments. He told me to get a good lawer. I can't afford one. What do I do?
