Northland Group is a sleazebag operation by definition, as they are in the collection business. As LadynRed so sagaciously advises, triple check your paper work to be sure of the date the statute began to run - the date of default - and then wait a discreet interval. End your waiting period by doing as Lady sez, the C&D letter. You don't want to clue them in to your actions, keep a low profile until the statute is long gone.
Also, check to see that these predatory parrot droppings didn't re-age the date of last activity on your report. Northland Group is legendary - aren't they all - for 'running the statute'. They push the date of default ahead several years, thus buying themselves some time to sue long after the debt is legally uncollectable.
This statute does not work for those who read boards such as this, as you are armed with the facts and can beat these boli vomitosi at their own stupid, greedy, game.

Factually,

Keyser Soze
