They claim my husband has 2 checks outstanding from 1997. Called his dad's house (who lives in another town) a couple of days ago. They can't even tell me the face value of the checks. My husband says the checks totaled about $60 and he paid the dept store for the checks about a month later... now JBC claims we owe them $500!!!!! The dept store corporate office says they have never heard of this company and his name is clear in their computers. I am contacting a lawyer also.
