It's only in addition to the judgment if the judgment isn't paid. They are entitled to post-judgment interest unless the court orders payments of 'X' $$ per month until the judgment is paid. If the court does not include interest in its order then there is no interest.

Most states allow 10% post-judgment interest. You take the total judgment multiply by 10% and divide by 365. If they garnish wages the writ will state the interest in a per day rate.
